Which are the attributes of each personal direction?

According to Ming Gua, each person has four personal directions which are favourable, and four unfavourable directions corresponding to the four main cardinal points and four secondary ones (that we will show in the next article). For example, the Sheng QI direction can be North for one person, while for another one this direction can be the Jue Ming, one of the unfavourable ones.

We sill start with the positive directions, in descending order of their power upon the human destiny:

Sheng Qi

o Is the best direction, which generates qi – energy.

o Is the direction to be oriented towards, when you work, negotiate, make an important presentation, in order to bring a great amount of success.

o It is good to concentrate on the Sheng Qi direction and area if you are searching for wealth or success in carreer.

o If you can not stay oriented towards your Sheng QI direction, try to sit, work or eat in the Sheng Qi area..

Yan Nian

o It is translated as “many years”.

o Brings good luck in the love relationships and long life.

Tian Yi

o Is translated by the “doctor coming from the heaven” and means good health and long life.

o Is extremely powerful for healing.

o Good for those looking for romantic relationships.

Fu Wei

o Peace and stability.

o Brings much luck in education and personal development.

o Is sometimes considered as wisdom direction.

Regarding the application of the positive directions, they are good when you work and study (in the above order). For a good and restful sleep, the directions must be used in reverse order, starting with Fu Wei and ending with Sheng Qi. This is easy to understand if we think Sheng Qi brings much energy for activities that we don’t actually need when we rest.

The unfavourable directions are arranged in ascending order of their negative power on people:

Hou Hai

o Is the least negative of the four unfavourable directions.

o Refers to bad luck and unhappy events.

Liu Sha

o From this direction people may come who bring you problems.

o Not good for love relationships.

Wu Gui

o Can bring serious problems to family and business.

o May cause financial loss, lawduits, accidents and fire.

Jue Ming

o Is the worst of the negative directions.

o May cause diseases, greatest bad luck and unproductive carreers.

Why do we need Ming Gua in Feng Shui?

The calculation of the Ming Gua numbers for the inhabitants of a house is important when a Feng Shui consultation for a building is carried out. Each person is affected in a different way by the locations and cardinal directions, for this reason it is important to know our trigram and choose the places in the house / at work favourable to us, while avoiding the unfavourable ones.

In the next article we will see how to discover the positive cardinal points according to the Ming Gua personal trigram, in order to apply what we learned in this article. We will also find out how compatible we are with our partner and other family members, so that we know how to get along nicely with people around.

Meanwhile, calculate your Ming Gua according to the above formulas in order to associate the cardinal points with the eight directions explained above and to start using them in the everyday life to obtain favourable results.
