Are you also applying Feng Shui from books? What is the relationship between Feng Shui and taoist alchemy?
Lately I have received many questions from persons interested to apply Feng Shui remedies in their houses or at work. I am very often requested to recommend by phone or e-mail, ways of arrangement for newly bought houses, places to put the bed, colours to use in certain rooms etc.
Each and every time I explain that traditional Feng Shui is more than what we know in Romania from the little information published in the few books issued here. The Xuan Kong Fei Xing school (which is part of Traditional Feng Shui) offers remedies for each house and these can be recommended only after an expertise which starts with a visit to the place.
I know many persons who tried to directly apply the information from the Feng Shui books. Someone told me recently that they followed the advice from a book, to place a certain remedy in a room. After placing the remedy they did not notice an improvement of the situation but a damage of it, instead; the remedy was removed and the situation came back to normal.
Other persons told me that they found different advice in different books by different authors and that they gave up applying any remedy for being afraid not to fail and do more harm than good.
The articles I am writing try to emphasize that it is hard to take limited information from books and expect the promised results of those books. At the same time though I want to offer information that can be applied without the intervention of a Feng Shui consultant (obtaining limited results, though).
In order to start studying Feng Shui yourself you can read the “Free lessons” offered on this site. They represent the first level of the Chinese master Joseph Yu’s school. He suggested to me to offer to Romanian people a starting instument, by authorizing the translation of the lessons in Romanian.
Relationship between Feng Shui and the Taoist alchemy
Another thing that I want to stress is people’s wish to have special results only by applying Feng Shui remedies. This is possible only as far as those persons have a sufficient amount of energy to sustain the opportunities offered by the rearrangement of the energies in the house and at work using the advice offered in a consultation.
By installing remedies and redirecting energetic flows in a house new possibilities will occur, from the affective, financial and health standpoint. However if we do not have a clear mind and a good energy level we will not be able to notice them, even less will we be able to put them into practice. Our life will improve anyway but not at the maximum possible level.
The constant visitors of our site have surely noticed that we have included a new chapter called “Alchemy”. We have done that because the maximum results can be reached when we combine the traditional Feng Shui principles with those of the Taoist Alchemy. I recommend to the interested persons to come back often and try to approach some of the practices presented in this section (preferably under the guidance of an instructor).
