Object used as remedies in Traditional Feng Shui
After carrying out a Feng Shui expertise, the consultant will recommend a series of remedies which will be applied in order to improve the existing situation of that house and to increase the influence of the positive energies (which can bring happiness in love, prosperity and health).

Apart from the recommendations to use certain rooms and not use others, or to avoid certain areas in a room, some objects are also used as remedies.
In a previous article we have talked about one of the most common objects generally associated to Feng Shui: the wind chimes. Those are used to tame a negative energy which can cause a whole series of problems, first changing our personality and “helping” us become despotic. The location of this energy can be found only after carrying out the energetic map of the house, using, for example, the indications of the Fei Xing (FlyingStars) school.
Of course, there is the the possibility for the persons who want to apply Feng Shui by themselves, to buy books about this wide field and use the easier schools which use an octagon applied over the plan of the building not taking into account the space-time orientation of the building.
According to the indications of those schools, all persons should place a fish tank at the entrance in their house in order to activate their carreer, or 9 red candles in the area opposite to the door, to enhance their fame. These articles not referring to this type of schools, I can not indicate the placement of the objects used as remedies, before carrying out an expertise according to the principles mentioned in the two articles before (referring to the way a traditional Feng Shui consultation is carried out).
Another object used to activate some good energies is, for example, the bamboo which grows in water. This can enhance the power of the energies for creativity and wisdom. Also, in order to activate the energy of the creativity which might bring success to those wanting to become writers, artists or even teachers, an “academic tower” can be used – this represents a high building made of several floors and having the roof in Chinese traditional style. Of course this tower is of small size in order to be placed on a desk in the area where this energy is manifested.
A negative energy which may cause diseases (especially for the belly organs) can be neutralized with an exotic fruit called calabash. This has a specific shape and can be found in the stores specialized in sales of Feng Shui remedies. I managed to find this fruit even here (at the ground floor of the Unirea department store, at a small stand on the inner side of the store) unfortunately not in the original version (dry fruit) but metal made.
The small ingots of golden metal are used to activate the power of energies which belong to the element metal. These ingots are used in a number of 6 or 7 and will be placed in the areas indicated by a traditional Feng Shui expertise. For the same purpose other objects of golden metal can be used, such as Chinese coins with a hole in the middle, which can be found in our stores as well (Unirea department store or in the exhibitions organized in Sala Dalles with the opportunity of special holidays – Easter, 8 March, Christmas etc).
Object or element?
It is good to note that not the object in itself is important but the type of energy represented by it. I hereby refer to the five phases of transformation of the energy, briefly called the five elements.
The remedies are also related to certain trigrams or hexagrams used in the Yi Jing divination, originating from this science and in the correlations established by the Chinese masters between the trigrams / hexagrams and the energies in the nature.
